Big Jazz Sunday – December 10th – Be There!

Friends and Members of STJS,

Tomorrow, Sunday December 10 will be the last Jazz Sunday of 2017. So let’s try to give 2017 a big sendoff, celebrate Christmas and ring in 2018 with one big musical day. Your music committee has put together some of the best of STJS musicians for a great fun filled afternoon of music….

The day will start with Todd Morgan and his friends, rocking the hall as only Todd can do…. So get there early..

Next… The Au brothers with the Gold Society Auchestra and their featured vocalist Peter Petty, will take over the stage and watch out as this fantastic group of Sacramento’s finest Trad and Swing musicians fill the room with sounds of Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Lu Watters, Turk Murphy, Dukes of Dixieland, Bix Beiderbecke, Sidney Bechet, Kenny Ball, Tommy Dorsey, Jack Teagarden, as well as larger ensembles such as Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Lunceford, Matty Matlock, Dave Pell Octet, and many more.. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes…

Then, STJS’s favorite doctor, ie., Dr Bach, will heal your wounds as he and his friends spread more of those musical sounds of wonder.

Well the day is not over yet as The Gold Society Auchestra returns and finishes off the afternoon and the year.

So be there early and stay late for a great day of music and fun
