Jay Paulus’ Society Band was formed in Chicago in the 80’s when Jay and Barbara married, not just in name, but a marriage of musical talent. Jay’s years of big band and ensemble work lends a versatile trombone style, sometimes mellow, other times vibrant, and will cause youi to check the album cover to see if it is the same performer. Barbara’s theatrical background aids her in thoughtful deliver of a lyric, complimenting the composer’s written word.
