"Capital Campaign"
A message from STJS President Jim Roberson

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am inviting you to join our "Friends of STJS" Capital Campaign. We need your help to keep STJS and its many jazz-related programs alive.

Our goal is to raise money to allow us to continue to provide and expand outstanding programs designed to preserve and promote traditional jazz and its related art forms. These include education programs for youth such as Music Lesson Awards, Jazz Camp, the STJS-sponsored youth band (TNT), and opportunities to perform with experienced musicians at our monthly "Jazz Sunday" concert series. The Sunday concerts also provide an opportunity for older musicians to regain musical skills, and for members and guests to enjoy listening and dancing to jazz music. Other programs include: a music library; a history program through community presentations; community performances (like "Jazz in the Park" summer concerts and the "Styles of Trad. Jazz" concert series at the library), and of course, our largest presentation: the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee!

We're committed to the outreach and education that helps make the community and world we live in a better place. If you share that commitment, you're invited to become one of the "Friends of STJS" by making a tax deductible donation. Your gift gives us a dependable source of revenue for our many programs and helps us to remain a premiere jazz organization.

Your gift can be in any amount, and you can give as often as you like. Here's how:

1) Mail the contribution form (PDF file) with
your check or credit card donation to:
STJS • 2787 Del Monte St. • West Sac., CA 95691
or
2) Call the STJS office: 916-372-5277, ext. 10.

You'll receive recognition with a big thank you in a future edition of the AATJ, and you'll know you've made a difference.

Respectfully,
STJS President Jim Roberson
