The Sacramento Jazz Camper will have many opportunities to enjoy leisure and recreation at Sly Park. Hiking and nature photography are popular amongst all of our campers. There are many sports activities such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, ping-pong and a rock-climbing wall. There is an active bird sanctuary as well as a reptile/animal room on campus so campers may experience some interesting animal encounters.

Sly Park also is the proud owner of a modest observatory and astronomy night is one of the most popular activities. Usually around mid-week, the Sly Park staff breaks out several telescopes of varying sizes and entertains the jazz campers with stellar views of the clear northern California skies.
