The Neoclassic Jazz “Auctet” is a highly arranged, focused Jazz ensemble hand picked by the Au Brothers. Join us as we pay tribute to one of the great corner stones in West Coast Cool Jazz, Dave Pell. Pell’s Octet took seldom-heard songs by famous Jazz composers (like Irving Berlin, Burke & Van Heusen, and Rodgers & Hart) and gave them to contemporary West Coast Jazz arrangers to produce commercial recordings. Expect to hear arrangements by Shorty Rogers, Marty Paich, Bill Holman, Bob Florence, Med Flory, Harry Betts, and even one by John Williams (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter). Come on out for a “Pell” of a good time!
