MUSIC LESSON AWARDS
Awards for music lessons are given to deserving young musicians based on talent, desire, and need.

STJS TRAD. JAZZ CAMP
A one-week traditional jazz music camp held annually at Sly Park during the summer.

K.O. SMITH SCHOLARSHIP
The Kenton O. Smith Traditional Jazz College Scholarship is awarded to the Outstanding College Musician at the annual Trad. Jazz Youth Band Festival (TJYBF).

BOB DRAGA SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to the outstanding high school clarinetist participating in the Trad. Jazz Youth Band Festival (TJYBF).

TRAD. JAZZ PROJECT
Funding for in-school clinics in cooperation with the San Juan Unified School District’s “Visual And Performing Arts” (VAPA) program.

TJYBF – Trad. Jazz Youth Band Festival
The Trad. Jazz Youth Band Festival is an all-day festival dedicated to the performance and teaching of traditional jazz, with combo bands performing non-competitively. Every combo receives feedback and lead-sheet clinics following its performance.
